This thermometer is specifically designed to measure soil temperature. It is useful for farmers and gardeners to help them plan their plantings it may also be used for scientific purposes.

Soil thermometers is 30cm long, that allows them to reach deep into the soil, the probe is coated to help it resist corrosion. A regular wipe down is recommended in order to remove any debris that may have adhered.

This thermometers need to be left in place for a few seconds in order to generate a stable reading. They can also be left in place in greenhouses or other controlled environments for regular readings.
