Hydrometers in degrees Baumé (°Bé) from 0 to 50 for caustic potash or bee food, and 0 to 30 for brines or sulfates.
The Baumé scale is based on considering distilled water to be the value of 0 °Bé. The °Bé conversion formulas according to densities:
For liquid denser than water: d=146'3 / (136'3 + n)
For liquid less dense than water: d=146'3 / (136'3 - n)
